A Toy Giveaway To Get Your Holidays Started

If you aren’t like me at all, you’re already thinking about the holidays and gifts, and I am going to set my jealous aside to give away a holiday package of three new toys for your family.

First up is the Pinypon Snow Ski Lodge play set ($39.99 – recommended for ages 4+).

If you aren’t familiar with Pinypon, they are small figures that can be mixed and matched.

We received our first one at big toy party, Sweet Suite ’13, in Chicago and fell in love, and this Snow Ski Lodge does not disappoint. In fact, this toy actually exceeded my expectations. I was shocked that the collection came with so much stuff: winter gear, ice skates, a pond, snowmobiles, sled with a track and more. Both my kids had a blast, and I loved that there were boy and girls included in the set.

Pinypon Sledding
The sledding was great fun.

The whole set. It did take awhile to put together because it comes with so much cool stuff so if you have kids who don’t like to build, maybe put it together the night before Christmas.

The second gift is a nanoblock® from their new Insect series. You can chose from the Hercules Beetle, Praying Mantis or Giant Hornet (worth $13.49 – recommended for ages 8+). My son chose the Asian Giant Hornet, which surprised me since we are anti-stinging things right now, but I thought maybe it was a turning point. Sadly, he still doesn’t like bees, hornets or wasps, but at least he still likes to build.

My son is great at building, but we like to do it as a family because it’s more fun together.

The last gift is a three-pack of Mutant Pollutants (recommended for ages 5+), which are squishy, suction-cup creatures. Some glow-in-the-dark and some change colors in water. In the three-pack, you see two mutant pollutants and one is a mystery. I wasn’t sure what my kids were going to do with these guys, but I should never underestimate the power of a toy that doesn’t tell you what to do. The Mutant Pollutants were immediately incorporated as bad guys in the Pinypon Snow Ski Lodge. I also often find them guarding our home.

They aren’t all bad when they’re guarding the house at night and don’t leave marks on the windows.

  1. That ice rink is cool. The girls have a Dale Chihuly art kit that has a project where you see what sort of forms you can make with ice cubes, only problem is our ice cubes aren’t square…this is reminding me to get an ice tray, but oh how much fun they would have with that rink!

  2. Preparing for the holidays? I managed to get Halloween stickies on the door, does that count? I can only do one holiday at a time. Ask me in December and maybe I’ll have Christmas stickies on the door. My son on the other hand is ready to put up the Christmas tree now!

  3. I was able to score a few early gifts from a friend who was unloading tons of like-new toys. Other than that we are planning on tablets for the big girls. It’ll be a last minute endeavor, as usual.

  4. These look awesome! They would definetly finish up the last few kids on my list. I completely accidentally am almost finished shopping for the first time ever.

  5. Oh I am trying to watch for great sales and clearance to pick up some gifts! Found some great stocking stuffers already. 🙂

  6. I just finished getting ready for Halloween! I am nowhere near getting prepared for Christmas! I usually start all that after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the great giveaway; it might get me started a little earlier this year.

  7. Have barely started to think about the holidays, which is too bad because Hannukah is really early this year! But we are mostly ready for Halloween…

  8. I follow you on Facebook, and can I get bonus points for having never been on any of the other social media sites mentioned?

  9. I’m ALMOST done buying for the kids.

Still the husband gifts to deal with. Leave the hardest for last, that’s what I always say about the holidays.

  10. I have already finished most of my holiday shopping for the grandbabies but I do have several more gifts to buy. I will start decorating the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

  11. I am preparing for the holidays by trying to win everybody’s gifts! Ha Ha. I wish. Other than that, I haven’t done much of anything yet.
