Cat Fetching

This May Be The Only Use For Pipe-Cleaners After Those Four Hipsters Stop Smoking Pipes

I’ve mentioned that Huckle’s favorite toy is a pipe-cleaner, but this love has morphed into a talent. A talent that is taking this whole family to our 15 minutes of fame. Probably.

Huckle fetches. Huckle is, in fact, more insistent about fetching than any dog I know.

Click here if you can’t see the video. The crop function freaked out on my computer and made the movie IRREVERSIBLY TINY, but my cat’s superpower is still amazing especially when someone invents the solid gold pipe-cleaner for her to go cat burglar.

Over time, Huckle has actually learned not to attack our hands (as much) when we take the pipe-cleaner because we don’t throw it if she does. On the other hand (pun?), my dog has learned that if he runs around with the ball/stick/pipe-cleaner rather than drops it, we might chase him for a few minutes. WEEEEEEE! FOR HIM! {pantpantdeathpant} FOR ME!

Even though all our fame will clearly come off the backs of our cats, I could not be more grateful for all the times Lars make my family smile.

A few minutes in the yard with your dog cures everything.

I can’t tell who is photobombing this picture. Maybe me?
Everybody dancing
Because everybody likes to dance in this family.

  1. My cat used to fetch bottle caps and carry them back in her mouth. She is old and cranky now so she just wants me to do all of the fetching. She used to steal puzzle pieces too and run away with them. She was a trouble maker in her youth. She would literally climb my curtains and walk along the curtain rod.
