I now understand why my sister wanted me to join Instagram so much. She knew how talented I was with my iPhone. The photo above is one of my more recent pics of wow.
Of course, I’d like Pinterest more if they would un-ban me from their front page.
I know I don’t use it like I’m supposed to use it. I have weird boards, and people repin my things to boards that are the exact opposite of the board I have them on, but I would like to at least SEE how to style the perfect $3 million dollar wedding and what it takes to make the organic coffee vanilla cake pop smoothie I’ll never actually make or pin unless it freaks me out. (I have board for that.)
I can’t because I am blocked by this pop-up window from Pinterest’s front page:
The only work around I can find is on the mobile app. However, I can’t pin anywhere else with my phone though, and I’d rather pin my stuff like how I’m A Nerd where I can make a lamp out of my kid’s Star Wars helmets or pin a funny poster about Castiel from Supernatural or my board on how I plan to one day disappear off the grid, and how we’ll start with radical gardening. (I do have a normal-ish board on writing inspiration, but I’m not sure what inspires me to write will inspire anyone else.)
What I’m saying is while I’m still busy pinning cool stuff to MY five tiny boards, I don’t want to follow FIVE random boards I might or might not have interest in, and I don’t want to follow/unfollow just to get Pinterest to let me onto their homepage. I WON’T USE PEOPLE LIKE THAT PINTEREST!
So I wait. And pin weird stuff and wait some more in the hopes that I can out-wait Pinterest’s interest in my followings.
I totally doing this wrong.
Maybe I should Instagram my kids photobombing a perfectly lovely picture of my husband and I instead… Oh, I already did.
