I Am Awesome With A Blender And You Can Be Too (Giveaway)

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED, AND, OF COURSE, IT IS ON MY MOST POPULAR GIVEAWAY TO DATE. I CAN ONLY SAY AGAIN THAT I’M VERY SORRY.

THE WINNER IS BLOG COMMENT #22.

SINCERELY, ALEX

While most of my meals are “looks bad, tastes good,” I’m not the worst in the kitchen. I made beautiful, organic baby food for both my kids until they transitioned to dinner with us. (They probably miss those days.) I used my blender to mash-up apples and avocados and sneak in soft tofu until it died a slow, smelly-motor death.

Luckily, Blendtec and Stonyfield Farm brought me full circle to my days of being awesome with a blender by giving me a brand new one and another blender to give away to y’all.

This one is much fancier, too. I only have to tell it I’m making cookies, and it will pulse at different speeds to give me the smoothest sugar cookie batter I’ve ever had. If only I had not gotten distracted by old 30 Rock episodes and remembered to take the cookies off the pan, they would’ve been the perfect batch.

Blendtec Cookie Batter
Of course, the first thing I want to make is cookies. Yum.

We’ve also made fruit and yogurt smoothies, ragout and pretty much anything the requires fine chopping, whisking or blending (obviously).

Blendtec Smoothie
It even comes with a recipe book.

Stonyfield also sent us a case of their delicious new Blends yogurt, which my husband enjoyed as much as he loves having his picture taken, and I get to send y’all those as well.

Stonyfield Blends Yogurt
We loved the yogurt. Scott is just better at making faces.

You can win a case of Stonyfield Blends Yogurt plus a Total Blender Classic Series FourSide Factory Reconditioned that makes anything from dips to dinners to desserts. (Total Value: $455) The blender is a refurbished commercial model for home use only with a 7 year warranty. I received the same blender. It’s awesome, and you’ve done something good for the environment without having to give up on quality. Yay! Enjoy some delicious yogurt smoothies in celebration.

  1. Went to Stonyfield’s site … I used to buy the YoBaby for my daughter — when she was a little one. But I don’t eat yogurt, so I don’t favor any of the blends. Does this still count?

  2. Things I would make with this blender: Smoothies for my smoothie-a-holic daughter; Chimichurri for my garlic-aholic husband; margaritas for me. (We will leave the appropriate “aholic” off that one!)

  3. Thanks for the fun giveaway! I’d cook up a storm of Indian dahls and soups, beginning with Muligatawny (chicken stock, carrots, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, turmeric, coconut milk, simmered together into a delicious winter soup). Subscribed to you via RSS.

  4. With baby #2 on the way, I would make baby food again, smoothies and then whatever my husband would like to make as he is the chef of the family!

  5. nice! I’d make a milkshake…since every other blender I’ve tried to do that with has burned out a motor in the process!

  6. I WILL MAKE ALL THE THINGS!

Seriously, we have gone through about 234,343,239 cheap blenders. We bought a Kitchenaid food processor, which I LOVE, but it does not do blendery things. We were just discussing we should just drop a bunch of coin for a good one.

    OR WIN THIS ONE!

  7. ohhhhh the things I would make. Hummus for sure. Also smoothies with a frozen banana base. Alternatively smoothies with a yogurt base in a BlendTec blender would be delicious. I’d also make pea soup. Oh and some good frozen drinks like a frozen mojito would be AH-MA-ZING. Seriously, I’ve always wanted a BlendTec blender. They seem so powerful, seems like you could make so much more than with a regular blender simply because it seems so easy. Dying to try one. Okay I’ll stop now. But they do seem REALLY awesome.

  8. I will make a diet coke, mentos and obsolete technology smoothie.
Shout out to the hilarious old blendtec ads…”Will it Blend?” They used to make me and my husband laugh for hours

  9. I want to give it to my husband- his shop crew likes to watch the Blendtec “Will it Blend” videos on their lunch break and have been wanting to get one to do those experiments.

  10. Yesterday, while I was making my daily spinach smoothie, my not so cool blender blades got stuck. Obviously, the smartest thing to have done would have been to shut it off and use an utensil to move things around. Instead, I stuck a wooden spoon in the blender and BAM broke the spoon. I managed to find the big piece that broke off but I’m sure I ingested tiny pieces of wood.
Clearly, I need a Blendtec blender to save me from myself.

  11. I would finally be able to make smoothies (!) and would first try out this almond-banana smoothies that I have been dying to make! I would also try this kale-apple-kiwi one my dad makes a lot. I would make bean dip and hummus. I would definitely try out your cookie-blending! I only have a whisk and a bowl, so I would love the opportunity to blend up cookie dough! I would make almond butter and almond milk. How cool would it be to make my own almond butter?! I would also make milkshakes. Chocolate chocolate milkshakes.

  12. I love the french vanilla & blackberry flavors and like to add in chia seeds and strawberries. I would love to try the peach mango.

  13. If I win the blender, I will make many yummy blended things! I would try out one of the Blendtec recipes each week (since they will be sending me a newsletter with them!).

  14. Smoothies to nut butters to coconut flour to….. the sky is the limit with this fancy baby! I hear Blendtec is the “bee’s knees” and while allergic to bee’s ;) I love all that this baby can do!

  15. It makes cookie dough, too? If it can handle thick cookie dough, I can only BEGIN to imagine all the possibilities!
