In case you aren’t aware that the 90s are back, I’m currently married to Parker Lewis.
My kids are also into Sonic the Hedgehog, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and I drove by a woman my age wearing perfectly round glasses, a long flowing skirt, and clearly felt like reality bit.
While I love me some flannel and the fact my husband can’t lose, I am not signing up for crimped hair and pagers.
When I’m not wishing I kept my Skidz pants because they were so freaking comfortable, I’m becoming more popular reading and writing elsewhere — well this week, I mostly read…
Favorite posts I didn’t read, I mean, write:
- Better Names for Things: From pleated-jeans on youtube, a guy renames thing in a Target like yum circles for pizza and time bracelets for watches. (clever)
- “Half Drag”: The Two Faces Of Gender Identity: From Savoia, amazing photographs of men in half-drag. (like I said, amazing)
- The Mayor of Afton Place: From Smacksy, a sweet story about the kindness of neighbors. (heartfelt)
- Don’t believe the social media experts.: From Jon Acuff, I’m definitely guilty of worrying and preaching about the “right way” but really there isn’t a right way to use social media. There’s the way that works for you. (interesting)

Skidz were so very comfortable, weren’t they?
So funny!
I’d love to see flannel come back. Even combat boots. But not the crimped hair. Or the very large bangs.
The 15 year old girl trapped in my 37 year old body thinks your husband is cute. I think your red stripe might look kind of cool crimped…just sayin’.
I want to read that one on social media use. I’m going to try and get to that today AND to checking out the Zazzle mugs I hear are for sale.
Thanks, Dude.
And yeah, I had a crimping iron.
xo
I always see this post go up on Friday and I save it for my Saturday morning coffee because I know it’s loaded with good stuff. Today did not disappoint.
Also? Reality Bites is probably my most favorite 90′s movie. “OH WHO TOLD YOU THAT? YOUR PSYCHIC PARTNER???” Oh the memories.
