I Just Want To Login To Facebook

Facebook put some new security in place earlier this year that has successful kept me from logging into my Facebook page.

One of which is when you log in on a new device, Facebook asks for the name of it before being able to access Facebook.

I own 2 devices: My iPhone and my Mac laptop.

But Facebook thinks I have 23.

The first day, I type: My iPhone Rocks
The next day, I type: My Mac
Two days later: My Mac Again
Three days later: My Mac Again
Three days after that: WTH remember my computer

So basically, I’ve spent the last 8 months trying to convince Facebook I’M STILL USING THE SAME 2 DEVICES.

According to my math, Facebook owes me 21 more Apple devices. FOR MY SUFFERING.

  1. OK, I’ve logged onto facebook from at least 4 different computers this year and I’ve never been asked that security question! I agree, they owe you big time.

  2. I log in to FB from everywhere, and I’ve never been asked a security question. I think they owe you each and every one of those devices! Then you can share with me!

  3. Stupid Facebook! It’s torture.

I ended up with the app for my iPhone and somehow have managed to never exit out of it, so I never need to remember what the hell my password is.

  4. You know, you don’t have to answer the question. It’s a feature where FB will inform you over email that someone logged into your account on a “new” machine, so if you didn’t do it, you know someone’s messing with your account.

The question is, what’s going on that keeps FB from recognizing your two devices?

Anyway, go to Account Settings, Security, and then turn off Login Notifications. I think that may stop it.

  5. Facebook is definitely screwing with you. I’ve never heard of this. Haha at stfu and this feature sucks. Very true.
