My Daughter Parties Like A Rockstar. (Help.)

My daughter turns two today.

She sweet and funny and the head of the school stopped me to say: N is amazing.

So Iā€™m pretty much terrified for the teenage years.

Because already N knows how to party.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Wild Child.

Alex Iwashyna went from a B.A. in philosophy to an M.D. to a SAHM, poet and writer by 30. She spends most of her writing time on LateEnough.com, a humor blog (except when it's serious) about her husband fighting zombies, awkward attempts at friendship, and dancing like everyone is watching. She also has a soft spot for culture, politics, and rude Southern people who offend her Yankee sensibilities. She parents 2 elementary-aged children, 1 foster baby, 3 cats, and 1 puppy, who are all Southern but not rude. Yet.

  1. She is gorgeous! And oh so sweet. I love the pics!
Two is double the fun.. The “I do it!” years.
And those teen years… yes, I’d say be afraid.. be very afraid šŸ˜‰
    Happy Birthday N!

  2. Wonder where she gets all the “amazing” from huh? :o) And I LOVE the picture of her and E sleeping together. I have a picture of me and my sister like that and it’s one of my favorites. I hope The Roo and Lulu will eventually reach such love.

  3. LOVE it! She’s beyond adorable. (It’s not every gal who can rock the bling AND the leopard print without looking like a castmember of The Real Housewives.)

Happy birthday to your wild child!

  4. What a treat it is to see N.’s personality emerging! And how fortunate she is to have you for her first female role model, Alex. Rock on, N.!

  5. She is absolutely adorable! I think my favorite one is the ‘look of disdain.’ She somehow managed to really capture disdain. It’s only going to get better!
