My daughter is munching on some Multigrain Saltines (healthy air with salt) when she suddenly spits out some on my arm.
Like any good mama, I offer it back to her. MULTIPLE TIMES. Off my arm. She declines. WITH VIGOR.
So I eat it. Yum. Already been chewed crackers. Off my arm.
Except there is a husk, of what I can only surmise is a popcorn kernel, in the ABC cracker. Which clearly led her to spit out the cracker in the first place.
In conclusion, my daughter will be much more popular in school than I was.

My husband had to remind me about a year ago that eating food my daughter spit out wasn't okay. We were at a friend's for dinner and risotto wasn't her thing, but was mine…. Oh, the lines we cross without even thinking about it…
It's like the mama-version of picking your nose. We all do it (right?), but at some point someone pulls our fingers away from our face and says: Not here, dear.
Oh my. I haven't had a little one it too many years to remember that!
<Giggling> We just hope the use a gentle hand and a very quiet voice.
